Introduction and Problem Hello everyone, Climate change is a major challenge for our society today. It causes higher temperatures, more natural disasters, and faster desertification. Already, about one third of the Earth’s land is dry or desert, and this number could reach 42% by 2050 and 48% by 2100. That is why it is important to imagine eco-friendly cities able to live in extreme desert conditions. So, how can we develop ecological cities in arid regions while reducing their impact on the climate? First part In the heart of the United Arab Emirates desert, As’Sahra, the City of the Desert, wants to face a big challenge: living sustainably in an arid area while reducing pollution. It shows the balance between technology, ecology, and adaptation to extreme heat. To achieve this, the city uses eco-buildings made of bioluminescent concrete and bio-glass that clean the air. Atmospheric condensers turn air humidity into drinkable water. These innovations help As’Sahra save natural resources, lower heat, and reduce air pollution in the city. Second part The second challenge of As’Sahra is to produce clean energy in an extreme environment. The city wants to replace fossil fuels with natural energy sources like the sun and the wind. It uses smart solar panels that move with the sunlight, while bio-concrete keeps the buildings cool or warm depending on the season. Far from the city, big rotating wind turbines use sandstorms to create electricity. Thanks to these systems, As’Sahra becomes self-sufficient, lowers its carbon footprint, and uses the power of the desert for a greener future. Third part As’Sahra also wants to improve daily life and make transportation eco-friendly. The goal is to reduce city pollution and make the desert greener. Large green areas with special plants resist heat and need little water, which is collected and reused. People travel using electric Aerobuses, automatic metros, and magnetic trains above the ground. The piezoelectric floors change people’s steps into energy. With all these ideas, every part of As’Sahra helps create clean electricity, purify the air, and build a sustainable city in the desert.

A glossy magazine cover in the style of a fashionable futuristic collage. The cover features a vibrant, surreal composition of realistic images: a horse's head with a surprised, slightly comical expression; a stylish girl in an avant-garde outfit from a futuristic designer collection, striking an expressive pose and with glossy lighting; a fragment of a 1960s Soviet New Year's card with Santa Claus and a bunny, slightly worn, added as a vintage element to the collage; a futuristic shoe with an ornate, curved heel, shiny, as if from a fantasy world; a small flying saucer hovering over the girl's shoulder; a cutting-edge car with smooth, aerodynamic shapes reflecting neon lights. All of this is assembled into a single collage with a glossy texture, a rich color palette, and a subtle surrealist accent. At the top is the logo of a fictional magazine in large font (for example, "BURDA FUTURA"), and below are decorative captions reminiscent of fashion magazines: "New Year of the Future," "Fantasy in Glitter and Chrome." The lighting is studio-quality, contrasting, and the background is minimalist, white or light pastel, to highlight the collage elements. The atmosphere is ironic, fashionable, and surreal, as if Vogue meets Tekhnika-Molodezhi magazine.
